Power Rangers - SPD on GBA is one of those licensed games that actually gets the feel right. You start off picking your ranger, and within minutes you're punching through waves of grunts in side-scrolling beat-em-up style. The controls are simple, but there's a weight to the attacks that makes it satisfying.
What surprised me was how they handled the morphing sequences. Instead of just a cutscene, you actually trigger it mid-combat when your meter fills, and for a short time your moves get flashier. The downside is some levels drag a bit with repetitive enemy patterns, but boss fights break it up well.
It's not deep, but if you grew up with Power Rangers - SPD, it nails the energy of the show without feeling like a cheap cash-in.
