Puzzli is a 2020 arcade release from GameDev Studios, a puzzle game that fits right in with the straightforward, high-score focused titles that found a home on modern cabinets. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, instead offering a clean and direct challenge that feels both familiar and immediately engaging.
You control a small boat at the top of the screen, using a joystick to move left and right, grabbing colored fish that rise from the bottom. The main objective is to match three or more fish of the same color before they reach the top and the water level rises, ending your game. Two key mechanics define the play: a second player can join to control a helper boat that holds a spare fish, and creating L-shaped combos clears a larger section of the board for a bigger point bonus. The pacing is relentless, the difficulty steep, and it creates a genuine sense of tension as you scramble to organize the chaos. It feels like a race against a rising tide that you're always just barely winning.
