Play Quattro Sports (Unl) Online
Compete in baseball, soccer, tennis, and BMX racing with quirky controls and simple objectives in this budget sports collection for the NES.
Quattro Sports came out in 1991 for the NES, published by Codemasters. It was one of those unlicensed multi-cart releases that showed up late in the system's life, offering a budget collection of four different sports when most players were already looking ahead to the next generation of consoles.
You control athletes across baseball, soccer, tennis, and BMX racing, each with their own simple objectives and janky mechanics. In baseball, you swing at pitches and try to field grounders with awkward timing; soccer has unpredictable ball physics and basic passing; tennis is probably the most polished, with straightforward volleys. The BMX mode is the odd one out, a side-scrolling race where you jump over obstacles and try to beat the clock. The pacing is uneven, and the difficulty often comes from the controls rather than smart design. It feels like digging through a bargain bin and finding something charmingly rough.
