Play R.B.I Base Ball Online
Pitch, bat, and field your way to victory in R.B.I. Baseball on NES; control your team, score runs, and outplay your opponent.
R.B.I. Baseball came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988, developed and published by Tengen. It was one of the first baseball games on the NES to use real Major League Baseball players and teams, which was a big deal at the time. The graphics were simple, blocky sprites on a flat green field, but it felt like a step up from other baseball titles because of that official license.
You control all the players on your chosen team, from the pitcher to the outfielders. The main goal is to score more runs than the computer or a second player. You pitch by selecting a type of throw, like a fastball or curve, and aiming with the d-pad. Batting is about timing your swing as the ball crosses the plate. Fielding can be tricky; you have to run your player under the ball's shadow to make a catch. The game moves at a quick pace, and the difficulty feels fair, though errors happen often. It feels like a straightforward, no-frills arcade version of baseball that gets you right into the action.
