Play Rack 'em Up Online
Sink your balls in eight ball pool matches, aim your shots, and outsmart your opponent or the clock in this classic arcade game from 1992.
Arcade Innovations released Rack 'em Up in 1992, a straightforward arcade pool game that fit right in among the era's competitive quarter munchers. It didn't try to reinvent the wheel, just offered a clean digital version of eight ball you could play against a friend or the machine itself.
You control the cue stick, aiming and setting power for each shot across a series of timed matches. The main goal is to sink all your designated balls, then the eight ball, before your opponent or the clock beats you to it. Signature mechanics include a split-screen view that shows both players' perspectives simultaneously and a precision aiming guide that helps, but doesn't guarantee, lining up tricky bank shots. The pacing is brisk; you have to think fast under timer pressure, and the physics demand careful consideration of angles and spin. It feels like a genuine test of patience and geometry, where one rushed shot can cost you the entire game.
