Rambo III on the Genesis is exactly what you'd expect—a side-scrolling action fest where you blast through Soviet troops like they're made of wet cardboard. The game follows the movie plot (rescue Trautman, shoot everything), but honestly, you're just here for the grenade launcher chaos and the weirdly satisfying way enemies ragdoll when you mow them down.
First level drops you straight into a desert canyon with nothing but a knife and bad attitude. By the second stage, you're hijacking tanks and laughing as entire squads explode in pixelated glory. The controls are stiff by today's standards, but there's something weirdly charming about how brutally simple it is—no puzzles, no backtracking, just Rambo being Rambo.
Fair warning: the difficulty spikes hard around the helicopter boss fight. I may or may not have thrown a controller in 1991.
