Play Rise of the Robots (Japan) Online
You pick a robot fighter and mash buttons through clunky brawls—cool sprites, stiff controls, and that one obnoxious final boss everyone hated. More fun to remember than replay.

Rise of the Robots came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was a fighting game that stood out at the time for its detailed, pre-rendered character sprites, though it arrived on a system already crowded with more fluid and responsive competitors. The game tried to sell itself on style over substance, and it showed.
You control one of several robot fighters, each with a small set of special moves executed through stiff, often unresponsive commands. The main objective is to defeat a series of opponents in one-on-one battles, leading up to a notoriously difficult final boss. Matches are slow, with limited combo potential and awkward pacing that makes every match feel like a slog. Playing it feels like wrestling with the controller more than the opponent on screen.
