You control either Alex or Ryan, high school brawlers out to rescue Ryan's girlfriend from a local gang. You move screen by screen through the city, clearing out waves of enemies with punches, kicks, and an arsenal of weapons like pipes and rocks. Defeating thugs earns you money to spend on food, books, and gear that permanently boost your strength, agility, or defense. The pacing is brisk, though some boss fights demand careful timing and a well-fed character. It feels scrappy and satisfying, like you're actually building a fighter from the ground up through sheer street brawl persistence.
