Sabre Wulf on the GBA is this weird little action-adventure where you play as Sabreman—yeah, that guy from the old Ultimate Play the Game days—hacking through jungles with a sword like some kind of lost British Indiana Jones. The whole thing feels like a fever dream: one minute you're slicing through vines, the next you're getting chased by these wolf things that come out of nowhere. The sprites are chunky and colorful in that perfect GBA way, and the puzzles actually make you stop and think between all the slashing.
It’s a remake of the 1984 original, but with controls that don’t make you want to throw your handheld. Still tough, though—those wolves don’t mess around. If you’ve got a soft spot for retro revivals or just want something short and chaotic, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t blame me when you die to the same trap three times in a row.
