Play Sabre Wulf Online
You explore a blocky 3D world, then drop into tough 2D platforming sections where you recruit creatures like fire-spitting weirdos to survive the wolf's lairs.

Sabre Wulf came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2004, developed by Rare. It was part of that wave of games that tried new things with the hardware, mixing different visual styles and gameplay ideas. It felt like a natural, if a bit quirky, part of the GBA's library at the time.
You control Sabreman, an explorer armed with a sword, and your main goal is to find the four pieces of an amulet scattered across a large, interconnected map. The game is built around screen by screen exploration, with a top down view for the overworld that shifts into side scrolling platforming sections when you enter caves or wolf dens. A key mechanic is recruiting creatures you find, like fire spitting lizards, to help you solve puzzles and fight enemies. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can spike in the platforming parts, especially when you are being chased. It feels like a constant push and pull between cautious exploration and tense, quick action.
