Play Sanguine Online

Sanguine’s got that janky Flash physics where you’ll miss jumps and slide off ledges, but nailing a mid-air blood drain with Elanor’s floaty movement just clicks after a while. Good luck spotting anything in those murky purples though—crank up your brightness.

Game Overview

Okay, so Sanguine is one of those old Flash games that looks cool but might actually hurt your eyes—seriously, the whole thing is dark purples and blacks, and if your screen brightness is low, good luck spotting anything. You play as Elanor, this vampire girl who moves like she’s half-floating, half-stumbling through shadows. The controls are janky in that classic Flash way (arrow keys to move, Z to attack, X to jump), but once you get used to it, there’s something weirdly satisfying about latching onto enemies and draining their blood mid-air.

It’s a physics platformer, so expect to overshoot jumps, slide off ledges, and die a lot in the first five minutes. The attacks feel weightless but weirdly precise once you figure out the timing. And yeah, you’ll probably lose track of Elanor in the gloom at least once. Still, there’s charm in the clunkiness—like an old cartoon someone drew at 3 AM. Just don’t play it in a bright room.
