Okay, so Scooby-Doo: Mystery Mayhem on the GBA is basically you running around as Shaggy and Scooby, solving dumb little puzzles while ghosts and monsters pop out at you. It’s got that classic cartoon vibe—bright colors, goofy animations, and way too many sandwiches involved. At first, I thought it’d just be a basic point-and-click thing, but there’s actually some light platforming and item collecting, which keeps it from feeling too stale.
You’ll poke around spooky mansions, set traps (badly, because, well, Scooby), and occasionally switch to Velma or Fred when the game decides you need a break from being scared by every shadow. The writing’s cheesy in that nostalgic way, like someone ripped lines straight from the old episodes. Not gonna lie, some of the puzzles are a little obtuse—I got stuck for way too long on a dumb lock combination—but it’s short enough that you won’t hate yourself for it.
If you’re into Scooby-Doo at all, it’s a decent little time-waster with just enough charm to make up for the jank.
