The levels scroll in this weird diagonal way that takes some getting used to, and the bosses are these massive screen-filling yokai that look amazing for a 1991 arcade port. The Neo Geo version of Sengoku / Sengoku Denshou (Set 1) has that perfect mix of stiff-but-satisfying combat and over-the-top Japanese mythology nonsense.
