Play Shining Soul II Online
Pick an archer, warrior, or six others, then slash through mobs and dodge traps in this Diablo-meets-Zelda dungeon crawler. That "training tournament" goes south fast when the princess disappears—guess who gets to clean it up?

Shining Soul II came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Sega. It was part of that wave of portable action RPGs that tried to capture the feel of deeper console adventures, offering a substantial amount of hack and slash gameplay you could take anywhere. It felt right at home alongside other dungeon crawlers of the era, a solid choice if you were looking for something to grind through between classes or on a long trip.
You pick one of eight character classes, like a knight who wades into the fray or an archer who picks off enemies from a distance, and then you just dive into a series of multi-level dungeons. Your main goal is to fight through these labyrinthine areas, screen by screen, defeating monsters, avoiding environmental traps, and hunting for better gear. The combat is straightforward but satisfying, relying on timing your attacks and managing your limited inventory of healing items. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages, keeping you on your toes. It feels like a focused, no-nonsense adventure where your progress is measured in loot drops and cleared rooms.
