Download Shoot 'Em-Up Construction Kit_Disk2 ROM – Amiga Game
1988 Amiga action game construction tool for top-down shooters. Includes sprite, sound, and level editors, plus four demo games: space shooter, wild-west, sci-fi, and genre-twist.
Game Overview
If you ever wanted to make your own Amiga shooters without coding, this is the weird little toolkit that lets you do it. You get this chunky set of tools to draw sprites, animate them, slap together backgrounds, and tweak all the rules—kinda like a proto-GameMaker but way more hands-on.
What’s cool is they threw in four bizarre premade games to show what’s possible. There’s a space shooter called "Slap and Tickle" (yep), a wild west bullet fest, a Robotron-style sci-fi thing, and... "Celebrity Squares," which I still don’t fully understand. Half the fun is poking at how they built these so you can rip them apart for your own nonsense.
It’s janky by today’s standards, but there’s something charming about wrestling with the editor to make a spaceship shoot hamburgers at cowboy robots. You’ll either get obsessed or give up after an hour—no in-between.
