Game Overview

SimCity Jr. (or SimCity 2000 everywhere outside Japan) is the SNES version of the classic city-builder, but with way more charm and way less spreadsheet stress. Instead of drowning in numbers, you're zoning neighborhoods, balancing budgets, and praying your tiny city survives the next alien invasion—because yes, UFOs are a legit threat here.

The isometric view makes everything pop, and there's something weirdly satisfying about watching your little grid of roads and houses slowly turn into an actual town. Mess up the zoning, though, and you'll end up with traffic jams that'd make real-life city planners cry. The music's oddly relaxing, and that little boop sound when you plop down a park never gets old.

It's simple enough that you won't need a manual, but there's enough going on that you'll still catch yourself muttering, "Wait, why is everyone moving out?" at 2 AM. Perfect if you miss the days when strategy games didn't require a PhD to enjoy.
