Game Overview

You play as Kevin Codner, a submarine rescue guy who gets called in to save passengers from a sinking cruise ship. The setup’s a bit like Lemmings—people keep falling out of tubes, and you’ve got to guide them to safety before they walk straight into fire, water, or steam jets. At first, it’s just about moving crates with a crane or blowing up walls, but later levels get mean: cracked pipes spray steam, conveyor belts go the wrong way, and water starts rising fast. If you don’t act quick, your passengers drown, and let’s just say they’re not the brightest bunch.

You can get creative with stacking crates to block hazards or build bridges, but the real tension comes from the clock. Some levels flood slowly, and watching the water creep up while you scramble to reroute people is stressful in the best way. The Amiga version gives you passwords after every level (thankfully), but the Genesis one? Good luck—it only spits one out every five levels, and the rest are hidden. Classic ‘90s cruelty.

It’s one of those games where failing feels like your fault, but pulling off a last-second rescue makes you feel like a genius. Just don’t get too attached to the passengers—they’re basically walking liabilities.
