Sink or Swim came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Zeppelin Games Limited. It was a time when puzzle games were often built around a single, clever idea, and this one fit right in with that straightforward, no-frills approach. You didn't need a powerful machine or a complicated backstory; it was just you, a submarine, and a lot of water.

You control a small rescue sub and your job is to guide panicking passengers to the escape pods before the ship completely floods. The main mechanics involve building bridges to create safe paths, redirecting conveyor belts to steer people away from hazards like acid pits or electrical panels, and sometimes just physically blocking them from walking into instant death. The pace is relentless; water rises steadily, and mistakes are costly, forcing you to think several moves ahead. It feels like a tense, logistical race against a very wet clock.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
