Smashing Drive came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2004, published by Namco. It was part of that era where developers were really pushing the hardware with fast, arcade-style racers, and this one definitely fit right in. You don't see many games like it anymore, which is a shame.
You control a taxi driver in a wild race against the clock, swerving through dense city traffic to pick up fares and get them to their destination. The main objective is to earn enough money before time runs out, which means driving recklessly, hitting boost pads, and using power-ups like a giant hammer to smash competing cars out of your way. The pacing is frantic, almost chaotic, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as traffic becomes more unpredictable. It feels like controlled chaos in your hands, a pure arcade rush from start to finish.
