Play Snake's Revenge Online
Weird non-canon NES sequel where Snake infiltrates a Metal Gear factory with two annoying rookies. More sneaking, more ways to die, same janky charm.

Game Overview
So Snake's Revenge is this weird little NES sequel to Metal Gear that somehow isn't official canon. You're back as Solid Snake three years after Outer Heaven, sneaking into some terrorist base where they're mass-producing Metal Gears (because one wasn't scary enough). This time you've got two rookies tagging along—Nick Myer and John Turner—who mostly just make you wish you were working alone again.
The gameplay's familiar but cranked up: more places to sneak through (jungles, trains, even a cargo ship full of Metal Gears), way more ways to get spotted (searchlights, suicide bombers, these annoying gyrocopter guys), and this bizarre interrogation minigame where you inject truth serum into officers. There are side-scrolling sections too, which feel janky but break up the overhead view. Honestly, half the fun is seeing how many ridiculous ways you can fail before figuring out the patrol patterns.
