Play Snakes And Ladders Online
1991 Amiga board game. Roll dice, move tokens, climb ladders, avoid snakes. Supports single-player vs AI or multiplayer. Customizable themed boards.

I remember playing Snakes and Ladders on the Amiga back in 1991. It was a straightforward digital adaptation of the classic board game, released by a smaller developer whose name escapes me now. On a system known for flashy arcade ports and ambitious adventures, this was a simple, almost humble title, something you’d load up for a bit of casual fun between more demanding games.
You control a token, rolling a virtual die to move across a grid-based board. The goal is to reach the final square before anyone else, whether playing against computer opponents or friends. The main mechanics are exactly what you’d expect: landing on a ladder shoots you forward several spaces, while hitting a snake sends you sliding backward, often undoing long stretches of progress. The pacing is quick, with turns resolving rapidly, but the difficulty is almost entirely luck-based, leaving you at the mercy of the dice. It feels like a relaxed, sometimes frustrating game of chance, perfect for short sessions when you don’t want to think too hard.
