Game Overview
Alright, so Solomon's Key on NES is one of those games that looks simple at first—until you realize you're going to be staring at the screen, scratching your head, trying to figure out how to reach that stupid key. You play as this little wizard dude who can magically create and destroy blocks (though some are indestructible, because of course they are).
At first, it's just jumping around, placing blocks to climb higher, but then you notice the enemies creeping around, and suddenly you're frantically trying to drop a block on one while avoiding another. Some levels hide spells or bonuses inside blocks, which is cool until you accidentally destroy the block containing the thing you needed. And yeah, the clock's always ticking, so no time to overthink it—though you definitely will anyway.
