You start with a sergeant and four marines—just enough firepower to feel confident until the first alien ambush ruins your day. Missions play out like tactical puzzles: clear the ship, blow something up, or survive long enough to regret volunteering.
The coolest part? Those sudden 3D close-ups when combat kicks off. Your marine lines up a shot, the screen zooms in, and you either cheer or groan as the dice decide your fate. It’s got that same claustrophobic, corridor-by-corridor vibe as later games like X-Com, but with more 90s-era pixel charm. And yeah, you can drag two friends into this mess—each controlling their own squad—while the AI throws aliens at you like a vindictive dungeon master.
Just don’t get too attached to your sergeant. Promotions come fast, but so do plasma grenades.
