Space Hulk on the Amiga is basically the board game brought to life—if that life involves claustrophobic corridors and aliens lunging at you from the dark. You’re in charge of a squad of Space Marines, those hulking guys in Terminator armor, and you’ve got to navigate these maze-like derelict ships while Genestealers try to rip you apart. The first-person view makes it feel like you’re actually stomping around in that bulky suit, but the overhead map is where you’ll spend most of your time plotting moves.

What’s cool is that you can freeze time to line up orders—because let’s be honest, you’ll need a second to think when three aliens suddenly round the corner. Your guys have a mix of ranged and melee weapons, and figuring out who should hold a choke point versus who should charge in is half the fun. There’s a ton of missions, including the original Deathwing campaign, and the CD version throws in some extra levels and slightly less garbled voice lines. Just don’t expect your marines to survive every ambush.
