Space Hulk on the Amiga nails that claustrophobic, pulse-pounding feel of the board game—you’re leading a squad of hulking Space Marines through tight corridors where every corner could spit out a Genestealer. The first-person view makes it feel like you’re actually inside that Terminator armor, but I kept flipping to the overhead map just to avoid getting ambushed.
Giving orders while time is frozen helps when you’re panicking (and you will panic). Your guys move in sync, which is cool until you realize one of them took a wrong turn straight into alien claws. The missions are brutal, especially the Deathwing campaign—expect to reload a lot. The CD version’s extra missions and slightly less garbled voice lines are a nice bonus, but the real draw is how well it captures that 40K tension. Just don’t blame me when your heavy flamer guy blocks the entire hallway.
