Game Overview
Spacer Ranger (or TASAR, if you're feeling fancy) is basically Defender's long-lost Amiga cousin. You're this lone space dude in a jetpack, zipping left and right while blasting aliens and rescuing little critters below. The radar's straight out of Defender too—blips everywhere, so you're constantly torn between picking off flyers and saving some poor creature about to get snatched.
What I love is how weightless the controls feel—your guy hovers just above the terrain, and there's something satisfying about skimming the surface while dodging enemy fire. The sprites are chunky in that classic Amiga way, and the enemies come at you from all angles. It's simple, but good luck putting it down after one run.
