Game Overview

Special Forces_Disk3 is that classic Amiga sequel to Airborne Ranger where you lead a squad of four elite soldiers through 16 chaotic missions. It looks a bit like Jagged Alliance at first glance, but forget careful planning—this is all about fast, messy top-down shooting where enemies keep respawning and your ammo never lasts as long as you’d hope.

You pick your team from eight specialists (snipers, demolitions guys, etc.), gear them up, and then drop into places like arctic bases or jungles full of drug cartel goons. The briefing actually matters—if it says "bring explosives" and you don’t, well, good luck with that bunker. Higher difficulties even give you bad intel, so you’re creeping around in night vision mode (everything’s that eerie green) just trying to figure out where the target actually is.

It’s got that old-school arcade feel where you’re constantly scrambling—blowing stuff up, rescuing hostages, then barely making it to the extraction point with half your squad alive. The guys who survive get promotions, which is nice, but let’s be real: most missions end with at least one guy left behind in the jungle. Classic ‘90s tough.
