Game Overview

If you've ever wanted to smash robots as Patrick Star or lasso-spin through Bikini Bottom as Sandy Cheeks, this GBA game is basically a love letter to SpongeBob fans. The first time I played, I got stuck for way too long trying to figure out how Squidward's clarinet could possibly help in a fight (turns out, it's weirdly effective).

The levels are packed with little nods to the show—like Plankton's ridiculous robot designs or that one puzzle where you have to bounce on jellyfish to reach a hidden Krabby Patty. Switching between characters feels chaotic at first, but once you get the hang of combining SpongeBob's bubbles with Patrick's... well, being Patrick, it clicks into this dumb, satisfying rhythm.

It's not a hard game, but that's kind of the point. You're here for the bright colors, the goofy dialogue, and that moment when you realize you're grinning because Squidward just defeated a boss by sulking dramatically. The Krusty Krab theme will haunt your dreams, though.
