Play Star Wars : The Empire Strikes Back on GB Online

This Game Boy adaptation of The Empire Strikes Back nails that classic Star Wars feel—you're Luke, blasting stormtroopers on Hoth, swinging your lightsaber in Cloud City, and awkwardly trying to lift rocks with the Force on Dagobah. The movie’s big moments are all here, but there are some fun surprises too, like dodging Cloud Cars (way harder than it sounds) or taking on Boba Fett’s ship in a weirdly intense shootout.

R2 and Yoda pop up with cryptic advice, which mostly boils down to "shoot the thing before it shoots you." The controls take a minute to get used to—switching between blaster and lightsaber feels clunky at first, but once you get the rhythm, slicing through TIE fighters becomes weirdly satisfying. Just don’t expect the Dagobah training to be any less frustrating than it was in the film.
