Steel Gunner is one of those classic arcade shooters where you grab a plastic gun and blast your way through waves of enemies. You play as either Garcia or Cliff—two commandos trying to rescue a kidnapped professor and his daughter from terrorists. The game drags you along a set path, twisting and turning while enemies pop up everywhere—foot soldiers, drones, even massive flying robots that take way too many shots to bring down.
You’ve got unlimited bullets, but the real fun comes from the limited missiles that clear the entire screen in one shot. Just don’t accidentally hit any civilians—they’ll drain your health bar, and trust me, you’ll need every bit of it. The bosses at the end of each stage are absolute bullet sponges, but there’s something satisfying about finally watching them explode after dodging their attacks for what feels like forever. If you die, you can continue right where you left off, which is good because you’ll probably die a lot.
It’s pure arcade chaos, best played with a friend for maximum carnage.
