You control a soldier fighting through enemy forces, clearing each screen of targets before advancing. The game uses a mounted light gun to aim and shoot at enemy soldiers, vehicles, and large mechanized bosses. Hostages appear on screen, requiring careful aim to avoid accidental hits; missing them or failing to eliminate threats quickly drains your limited continues. The pacing is fast, the difficulty steep, and the feeling of frantically lining up shots under pressure is both chaotic and satisfying.
