Play Steel Talons (Japan) Online
Pilot a chopper through chaotic split-screen dogfights—tilt sideways to dodge rockets while your buddy either saves you or crashes into a mountain. Janky controls make every near-miss feel like a miracle.

Game Overview
Steel Talons on the Genesis is one of those arcade ports that somehow feels both stripped down and weirdly ambitious. You're piloting a chopper through three missions—blowing up tanks, dodging missiles, the usual—but what really stood out was the two-player mode. The arcade version had this massive sit-in cabinet, and while the home version obviously can't match that, there's still something fun about coordinating (or sabotaging) your buddy in split-screen.
The controls take some getting used to—you're managing altitude, speed, and aiming all at once, so expect a few crashes early on. The deathmatch arena is where it shines though; just you, another chopper, and way too many rockets flying around. It's janky in that early '90s way, but if you've got a friend willing to put up with the learning curve, it's a solid time.
