Play Steel Talons on Snes Online
You're dodging missiles in a clunky helicopter, trying not to slam into jagged mountains while your radar screams at you—those five precious missiles better count. The cockpit view makes every near-miss feel way too real.

Game Overview
Steel Talons on SNES was one of those early 3D helicopter games that felt mind-blowing at the time—even if the polygons were chunky as hell. You’re basically thrown into this low-res warzone with mountains and deserts stretching into the distance, trying not to crash while blasting enemy tanks and choppers. The behind-the-cockpit view makes everything feel weirdly immersive, though good luck keeping track of where the ground is when you’re spinning around dodging missiles.
You get a mix of auto-locking rockets and a manual cannon, which sounds great until you realize you’ve got like five missiles total and the clock’s ticking. The radar helps, but half the time I’d get distracted by some target, clip a mountain, and explode in a sad little fireball. There’s a training mode to practice not being terrible, plus a 1v1 dogfight mode if you want to humiliate yourself against the AI. It’s janky, it’s unforgiving, and somehow that’s part of the charm.
