Stellar 7 on the Amiga is one of those games that feels like a time capsule—except with way better graphics than the original 1983 version. You're basically piloting this tank-like thing called the Raven, blasting through Gir Draxon's forces across different star systems. The first-person cockpit view makes it feel surprisingly immersive for its time, especially with the polygonal 3D visuals.

At first, it’s just smaller enemies buzzing around, but once you clear them out, things get serious—a massive mothership drops in this hulking Guardian ship, and suddenly you’re scrambling to dodge and return fire. The remake keeps the original’s level layouts (down to enemy placements, weirdly enough) but throws in power-ups like a supercannon and these big boss fights at the end of each system. Oh, and the cutscenes? A nice touch, even if they’re a little cheesy.

It’s not exactly a reinvention, but if you’ve got nostalgia for the original or just dig retro sci-fi shooters, this version holds up surprisingly well.
