Play Strider II (Europe) on sega Online
You slash through shorter, punchier levels with Hiryu's plasma sword, fighting bizarre bosses like a floating head—it's not as smooth as the original, but the chippy music and chaotic energy give it its own weird appeal.

Game Overview
Strider II is one of those sequels that feels a little different from the original—it wasn’t made by Capcom, but U.S. Gold took a shot at it. You still play as Hiryu, slashing through enemies with that iconic plasma sword, but the vibe’s a bit more… British arcade? The levels are shorter, the music’s chippy, and some of the platforming feels stiffer than the first game.
That said, it’s got its own charm. The bosses are ridiculous in the best way (one’s literally a giant floating head), and the sprite work holds up. Just don’t go in expecting the same fluidity as the arcade Strider—this one’s more of a quick, rough-and-tumble ride. Still fun if you’re into retro action, though.
