Aim and shoot colored bubbles to match groups of three or more, clear the screen before they reach you, and pull off chain reactions for big wins in Super Bust-A-Move on Game Boy Advance.
Super Bust-A-Move came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed and published by Taito. It was one of those early GBA titles that felt right at home on the handheld, offering a familiar puzzle experience with just enough polish to stand out. In a library that was still growing, it gave players a straightforward, colorful alternative to the platformers and RPGs that dominated the system's launch window.
You control a small cannon at the bottom of the screen, aiming and firing colored bubbles upward to match groups of three or more of the same shade. The main goal is to clear each screen of bubbles before the descending ceiling pushes them too low. Key mechanics include banking shots off the side walls for tricky angles and using special bubbles that clear entire rows or colors when matched. The pace starts relaxed but quickly becomes tense as the wall drops lower, demanding quick decisions and precise aim. It feels satisfying to pull off a well-planned chain reaction and watch the whole structure collapse.
