Game Overview

Capcom released Super Pang for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, a time when the console was still building its library with arcade-style experiences. It was a port of an earlier arcade game, bringing that fast, quarter-munching energy home.

You control a small character armed with a harpoon gun, moving left and right to pop descending bubbles that bounce around each enclosed screen. The main goal is to clear every bubble before time runs out or you lose all your lives. Key mechanics include shooting upward to burst bubbles, which then split into smaller, faster versions that require quicker reactions; you also collect power-ups that widen your shot or grant temporary invincibility. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty spikes quickly, especially in later stages with smaller screens and more aggressive bubbles. It feels like a tense, chaotic race against the clock where every shot matters.
