Super Widget came out on the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Atlus. You control a small, purple alien who can absorb enemies to transform into different creatures, each with a unique ability for navigating the stage. The main goal is to rescue your robot friend by clearing a series of side-scrolling levels, fighting bosses, and collecting power-ups. A key mechanic is the stacking of these power-ups to evolve your form, increasing your attack and mobility, but a single hit will strip those upgrades away. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, demanding precise jumps and quick reactions to enemy patterns.
