Play Super Widget (Europe) Online
Transform into different forms to navigate quirky levels, bounce off walls, and rescue your nephews in Super Widget on SNES.
Super Widget came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, published by Atlus. It was part of that wave of quirky, colorful platformers that filled the SNES library, games that didn't always get the spotlight but had their own distinct ideas. The visual style was bright and a little strange, with large, expressive sprites and levels that felt more like abstract playgrounds than traditional environments.
You control a small, round alien who can transform into different forms to navigate each stage. One moment you're rolling as a ball to build momentum and bounce off walls; the next, you turn into a rocket to fly through narrow passages or blast certain obstacles. The goal is to rescue your kidnapped nephews by clearing screen after screen of enemies and environmental puzzles. The pace is deliberate, and some of the transformations take getting used to, but once the mechanics settle in, there's a satisfying flow to swapping forms on the fly. It feels like solving a physical puzzle with movement.
