Game Overview

If you've ever wanted to feel like a real detective—the kind who actually has to think instead of just clicking through dialogue—Tantei Gakuen Q is your game. It’s got that classic GBA pixel charm, but don’t let the retro look fool you; the cases here are legitimately tricky. You’ll be scribbling notes, second-guessing alibis, and occasionally yelling at your screen when you realize you missed something obvious five minutes ago.

The cases start simple (a stolen lunchbox, really?) but quickly spiral into full-on locked-room mysteries and alibi-busting showdowns. What I love is how hands-on it feels—you’re not just watching a story unfold, you’re poking at crime scenes, cross-examining witnesses, and sometimes even getting it wrong. And yeah, if you’ve played Ace Attorney, you’ll recognize that rush when the music swells and you finally corner the culprit.

Fair warning: It’s Japanese-only, but the puzzles are so visual and logic-driven that you can muddle through with a guide. Totally worth it for that one case involving a haunted classroom—trust me, it’s not ghosts.
