Play Taz-Mania (Europe) on gb Online
You play as Taz spinning through bite-sized levels, wrecking everything in your path—just don’t blame me when you accidentally whirl straight into a pit. It’s janky in that nostalgic Game Boy way.

I picked up Taz-Mania for the Game Boy back in 1992, a game developed by Recreational Brainware. It was one of those licensed platformers that felt right at home on the handheld, simple and straightforward, without trying to overcomplicate things. The graphics were typical for the era, with Taz himself looking a bit blocky but still recognizable as the whirlwind from the cartoons.
You control Taz, spinning through a series of short, side-scrolling stages. Your main goal is to navigate each level, destroying enemies and obstacles by spinning into them, while collecting vegetables and other items for points. The game uses screen-by-screen progression, so you move from one fixed section to the next, and there's a timer that adds a bit of pressure. The difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially with some awkward enemy placements and pitfalls. It feels chaotic and a little rough around the edges, but there's a certain charm in just tearing through everything as Taz.
