Play Taz-Mania (USA, Europe) Online
You spin through short, messy levels as Taz, smashing enemies and bouncing off walls like a furry pinball—just don’t get stuck mid-air. Later stages actually make you think before tornado-ing everywhere.

I remember picking up Taz-Mania for the Game Boy back in 1992. It was developed by Recreational Brainware, and like a lot of platformers from that time, it tried to capture the energy of a cartoon in a portable format. The game didn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it had a certain charm that made it stand out among other titles on the system.
You control Taz the Tasmanian Devil, moving through a series of side-scrolling stages. Your main goal is to reach the exit in each level, often by spinning through enemies and obstacles. The signature mechanic is, of course, the spin attack, which lets you plow through foes and break certain walls. You also collect apples scattered around the stages, and some areas require careful timing to avoid hazards or navigate narrow platforms. The pacing is fairly quick, though some later levels can be tricky with their enemy placement and layout. It feels chaotic and a little rough around the edges, but there's a simple joy in tearing through each stage with that familiar whirlwind motion.
