Play Tecmo World Wrestling (Europe) Online
Big, blocky wrestlers toss each other around while a commentator yells random moves—good luck landing that suplex without button mashing, but the janky physics make it weirdly fun. Star Man’s ridiculous backflip still cracks me up.

Tecmo World Wrestling came out in 1990 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, developed and published by Tecmo. It was one of the later wrestling games on the NES, arriving when the console was well established but before the 16-bit era truly took over.
You pick one of ten international wrestlers, each with their own special moves, and fight through a tournament to become world champion. The core gameplay involves grappling, punching, and executing slams or submissions once you lock up with an opponent. Two key mechanics are the momentum-based pin system, where you mash buttons to kick out or secure a fall, and the ability to climb the turnbuckle for a diving attack. The pacing is deliberate, almost stiff, and the computer can read your inputs, making some matches a real grind. It feels like a rough but earnest attempt to capture the spectacle of pro wrestling with the tools available at the time.
