Play Teitoku no Ketsudan (Japan) (Rev A) Online
You're plotting naval routes in WWII Pacific battles, sweating over fuel supplies and praying your carriers don't get spotted—all while deciphering that dense SNES interface.

Teitoku no Ketsudan (or "Admiral's Decision" if you're not running the Japanese version) is one of those SNES gems that flew under the radar for a lot of people. It's KOEI's take on WWII naval strategy, and for a 16-bit game, the depth is kinda wild—you're managing everything from fleet movements to individual ship repairs.
First time I booted it up, I expected something simpler, but nope—you're immediately thrown into plotting courses, worrying about fuel consumption, and trying not to get your battleships torpedoed by subs. The interface takes some getting used to (those tiny kanji don't help), but once it clicks, you realize how much they crammed in here. Weather affects visibility, night battles play differently, and good luck keeping your carriers alive when the enemy zeros in.
It's definitely not for everyone—the pacing is slow, and if you're not into poring over naval charts, you might bounce off hard. But if you ever wanted to micro-manage the Pacific War from a SNES controller, this might be the weirdly specific fix you didn't know you needed.
