It’s wild the first time an uppercut comes flying at you, there’s not much warning, and the timing for dodging feels tight. You kind of have to learn each opponent’s patterns or just get wrecked.

The whole thing’s set in the future, so the idea is you’re not boxing yourself, you’re controlling a robot remotely, but it honestly just feels like brawling head-on. The controls take a minute to sink in since you’ve got to use both d-pads on the Virtual Boy to throw punches, block, or lean side to side. But once your muscle memory kicks in, it turns into this twitchy rhythm of duck, jab, block, repeat.

Each opponent has their own weird quirk, some throw quick jabs, others bait you into swinging so they can counter. There's one that I swear reads your inputs like it’s cheating. You get this machine gun-style flurry attack if you charge it up, and landing that at just the right time feels way more satisfying than it should. Teleroboxer is clunky, hard, and kind of ridiculous, but once it clicks, it’s like you're fighting your way through a sci-fi fever dream.
