Terminator 2: Judgement Day for the NES came out in 1991, published by LJN. It was one of many movie tie-ins from that era, built to capitalize on the film's success without necessarily pushing the hardware's limits. You control the T-800 cyborg, sent back to protect a young John Connor from the more advanced T-1000.
You move through side-scrolling levels, shooting enemies with a limited arsenal while searching for key items to progress. The game uses a password system to save progress, and some stages switch to an overhead driving perspective. It's known for being quite difficult, with stiff controls and relentless enemy patterns. Finishing a level gives a real sense of relief, even if the journey is often frustrating.
