Play Tetsudou Ou - Famicom Boardgame (Japan) Online

Game Overview

Ever played a board game where you’re basically a railroad tycoon, but with that classic NES charm? Tetsudou Ou is exactly that—a weirdly addictive mix of strategy and luck where you’re laying tracks, buying stations, and quietly cursing when someone blocks your best route. The first time I played, I thought it’d be simple, but then the AI swooped in and stole my Osaka connection. Rude.

It’s got that old-school multiplayer energy—grab a friend, argue over who gets the blue trains, and watch alliances crumble the second someone builds a bridge you needed. The graphics are pure 8-bit nostalgia, right down to the little chugging animations when your trains move. And yeah, the music loops forever, but in that comforting way Famicom games do.

If you’ve ever lost hours to Monopoly or Ticket to Ride, this is like their pixelated Japanese cousin who plays by slightly different (but fun) rules. Just don’t blame me when you’re stuck trying to beat the hard mode AI at 2 AM.
