Game Overview
So The Last Day is this old-school Korean shoot'em up where you're basically a tiny plane dodging bullets and blowing up everything in sight. At first it feels familiar—you've got your basic gun that gets stronger as you grab power-ups, plus a few panic-button bombs for when things get too chaotic.
What surprised me were the backgrounds—you're not just flying over generic war zones. One minute you're weaving between skyscrapers, the next you're dodging flak over a lake with the Statue of Liberty half-submerged in the distance. Makes you wonder what the heck happened before the game even started.
Enemies come at you from all angles—tanks firing upwards, fighter planes swarming, even battleships if you're near water. It's the kind of game where you'll die a lot at first, then suddenly realize you've been holding your breath for the last three minutes during a boss fight.
