You control either Rick O'Connell or Evelyn Carnahan, each with slightly different abilities, as you explore ancient ruins, fight off undead enemies, and solve environmental puzzles. The game progresses screen by screen, with combat relying on timing and positioning rather than button mashing. You collect keys, avoid traps, and occasionally use context-sensitive items to advance. The pacing is deliberate, and some sections demand careful observation. It feels like a condensed, slightly janky adventure that rewards patience.
