Play The Ripping Friends Online
Pick a freakishly buff hero and smash through levels of screaming mutants and exploding barrels—everything stretches and distorts like a cartoon on steroids. Pure chaotic brawling with zero chill.

Ever wanted to punch a giant radioactive chicken while flexing your biceps so hard they burst through your sleeves? The Ripping Friends on GBA is basically that—a ridiculous, muscle-bound brawler based on that weird cartoon from the guy who made Ren & Stimpy. You pick one of these absurdly jacked heroes (my go-to was Rip, because, well, he headbutts things) and just start smashing through levels filled with screaming enemies, exploding barrels, and random hazards that feel like they were dreamed up during a sugar rush.
The animations are gloriously over-the-top—characters stretch, distort, and react in that exaggerated John K. style. It’s not exactly Street Fighter deep, but who cares when you’re suplexing a mutant crab into a volcano? The whole thing oozes early 2000s energy, right down to the crunchy sound effects and chunky pixel art. Perfect for short bursts of dumb fun when you’re craving something loud and stupid.
Honestly, half the appeal is how unapologetically silly it is. You’ll either bounce off immediately or laugh your way through the whole thing. I did both.
