You control two characters: a strong but slow lion and a quick, nimble squirrel. Your goal is to rescue a kidnapped cub by navigating through jungle stages, fighting hyenas and wildebeests with basic attacks. The game uses screen-by-screen progression, with some areas requiring careful use of the squirrel's vine swinging or the lion's ability to break obstacles. The pacing is uneven at times, with occasional stretches that feel repetitive, but the challenge is consistent. Pulling off a difficult jump or clearing a crowded screen of enemies provides a tangible sense of accomplishment.
